SUMURI presents at Delaware State University
August 25th, 2011 (Dover, DE) - SUMURI's Managing Director Steve Whalen was invited to participate in Delaware State University's Welcome Days for new students. Whalen delivered a series of awareness presentations titled "Being Cyber Savy" to all incoming freshman.
DSU has taken the initiative to understand the reach out to their students to explain the safety and privacy issues in today's Internet landscape. SUMURI in partnership with the Delaware State University Office of Public Safety discussed issues related to social media websites, information hidden in uploaded media which can display your whereabouts, employer research and surveillance using the Internet, respecting intellectual property and more.
SUMURI's Steve Whalen stated, "We are happy to have the ability to present to incoming freshman at DSU to give the students some ideas to consider at the beginning of their adult education."
